The Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal receives a generous donation of $120 000 from The Monaco Group Foundation.

On the 8th of June at Le Blainvillier Golf Club in Blainville (Quebec), the Monaco Group Foundation held their 24th Annual Golf Tournament, which proudly netted $290 000. A portion of the proceeds weregenerously awarded in the form of a donation of $120 000 to the Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal, destined towards a fund for the development of its Ex-Vivo Lung Perfusion Program.

The Ex-Vivo Lung Perfusion Program allows for the preservation of lungs, to better preserve and improve their functions before transplantation. This program not only helps to optimize results and increase the number of transplants performed annually at the CHUM, but also ensures the development, success and sustainability of the CHUM transplant program on a long term basis.
